Some words about our "breeding philosophy"
Our aspiration is to breed pure japanese Akitas in good health, with an excellent character and perfect type. We prefer quality not quantity, so we have only one or two litters per year, in order to have enough time for the puppies and naturally for our adult dogs, too. All our breeding dogs are free of dysplasia and their eyes are checked to exclude genetic abnormalities.
Our Akitas are a part of the family and live with us all around the clock. Akita babies were born in our house and they live there with us untill they go away with their new owners. So we can take the best care of them and bring up dogs, who are physically and mentally sound, well prepared for their future life.
Becoming older the puppies get interested in lot of things. We bring them together with other people, young and old, and they will meet our other animals, as there are horses, donkeys, sheep and a cat. In our large garden they find a perfect playground and they have lots of possibilities to work out their power without any risk. Under our and their mother's control they discover the near forest and the large paddocks. Our male dogs are very helpful in the education, because they do not only play patiently with the pups, but also teach them to respect the authority of an adult dog. After the first vaccinations the pups some time go to a drive with us to the river bank of the Dordogne or to the city of Bergerac.
We start the education (also for property) of the puppies through positive reinforcement and try to familiarize them to walk on a lead.
Of course our puppies are identified by microchip, vaccinated and wormed, they have a french pedigree (L.O.F.) and consequently FCI-documents. We are member of the French breeding Club CFCNSJ and of the German Akita Club e.V.
